Dr. Tanya Smith

Dr. Tanya Smith is a powerful new author with a tremendous story to tell—one of resilience, faith, and triumph. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministries with a Minor in Theology and Counseling from John Wesley University in High Point, NC; a Master of Divinity Degree from Shaw Divinity School in Raleigh, NC; and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from The King's University in Southlake, TX.

A domestic violence survivor, Dr. Smith is a licensed and ordained minister, hospital chaplain, and certified domestic violence counselor and advocate. She also served as a theology instructor for two years at the NC School of Theology, where she mentored and equipped future faith leaders. A devoted mother and grandmother, Dr. Smith draws from her life experiences to inspire and empower others through ministry, advocacy, and storytelling.
